Sardegna Ricerche The company, established by the Region of Sardinia in 1985 as "Consorzio Ventuno", was renamed in January 2007 to better reflect its new mission: to promote research and technology transfer and the development of a knowledge-based local economy. The Agency has three operational centres. The main centre is at Pula, in the Province of Cagliari, within Polaris, the Technology Park of Sardinia, the others are in Cagliari (registered office) and Nuoro. The Technology Park also has a centre at Alghero, operated by Porto Conte Ricerche. An overview of the R&D and innovation support strategies and policies promoted and implemented by the Regional Government of Sardinia, Sardegna Ricerche and its partners in the fields of ICTs, biotecnologies, RES and other sectors.
