Biotecont Ltd. we are a privately owned biotechnology company based at the Pécs Industrial Park founded in 2005 to develop proprietary zebrafish models of human disease for preclinical drug discovery. The companyis the first Hungarian biotechnology company that provides services and contract research activities using zebrafish in vivo and in vitro experimental models. We also offer technical support and consulting services to universities and public or private research centres. Our main RTD programs are based on the use of zebrafish as a novel animal model for biomedical research. We are developing efficient tools for drug discovery and toxicology as well as new disease models and technologies regarding the laboratory use of the zebrafish.
