We are searching for a clinical research service provider (CRO) or academic lab offering an established cellular model to analyse the pharmacological modulation of 5-LOX and/or COX-2 product formation (in vitro). We want to assess whether our test items (lyophilized plants as active ingredient) increase or inhibit the release of prostaglandins (PGE2, PGD2, PGF2a), and Thromboxane B2 (TxB2) as well as leukotrienes (LTB4) and 5-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (5-HETE) into the medium by laboratory methods (e.g.: UPLC-MS/MS, or other suitable methods). Preferred cell-models are: Freshly isolated monocytes from human peripheral blood stimulated with LPS. Study can be performed in a non-GMP laboratory. Starting date: Studies should be performed as soon as possible. Ending date: Q1/2023. Minimum requirements: GLP, Good documentation practice, monocytes, proof of concept for scientific publication.
