Description

We are looking for a preclinical/non-clinical CRO (contract service provider) or academic lab offering an established cellular model (preferrably freshly isolated human monocytes) to analyse the pharmacological modulation of 5-LOX and/or COX-2 product formation. 

No GLP required.

We also want to assess whether our test items (lyophilized plants as active ingredient) increase or inhibit the release of:

  • Prostaglandins (PGE2, PGD2, PGF2a)
  • Thromboxane B2 (TxB2) 
  • Leukotrienes (LTB4) 
  • 5-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (5-HETE)

into the medium by laboratory methods (e.g.: UPLC-MS/MS, or other suitable methods).

Preferred cell-model is: Freshly isolated monocytes from human peripheral blood stimulated with LPS. 

Starting date: Studies should be performed as soon as possible.

Ending date: Q2/2024.

Minimum requirements:  Good documentation practice, human monocytes, proof of concept for scientific publication.
